‘Ensure you’re insured’ in Europe
Britons looking to travel to Europe during the bank holiday weekend should make sure they have accurate cover, according to a consumer finance portal.
Find.co.uk has stated that while some people may not consider foreign use and European breakdown insurance a top priority, it can see drivers avoid a disaster and potential debt.
It added that some overseas insurance is provided as standard in many deals, although there a few European countries which require motorists to purchase a Green Card in order to become covered.
"Whatever your overseas motoring plans this summer, make sure you are covered for all the countries you intend to visit and against the eventuality of a breakdown," said Kate Marsden, marketing director at Find.co.uk.
It may be that people look to visit Bulgaria and Romania this weekend.
This year marks the first time May bank holiday in which the two countries can be visited since becoming EU member states.
