Credit pays for ‘dream wedding’
An increasing number of Britons are using loans and credit cards to pay for the most special day of their life, their wedding day.
According to Fool.co.uk, one in ten people would use credit to cover all the costs of tying the knot.
In fact, three per cent of those questioned said they would consider remortgaging their property to ensure they could pay for their dream wedding.
Financial expert at Fool.co.uk Donna Werbner acknowledged that weddings are an expensive event, but urged couples to keep a "sense of proportion" when budgeting for all the costs.
"If you stick all the costs of your wedding on a credit card, you could find your big day is memorable for all the wrong reasons - because you end up paying for it for the rest of your life," she said.
