Credit crunch hints released by firm
Hints for consumers who may be finding it difficult during the credit crunch have been released by uSwitch.com.
Because living costs and the price of essential goods is growing all the time, the firm said, people are finding it more difficult all the time.
Products such as personal loans, credit cards and car insurance, the comparison company argued, should therefore be taken out with a great deal of care.
While individuals are working longer hours than before, they are coming away with less cash due to inflation of 3.3 per cent, uSwitch.com noted.
Director of consumer policy at uSwitch.com Ann Robinson claimed that the situation could well get worse before it improves in the time ahead.
"But while consumers are struggling to make ends meet there are measures they can take to reduce their monthly outgoings. Households could save up to £1,500 on bills and financial services by following the simple money saving tips within our guide," she commented.
Shadow chancellor George Osborne recently stated that Brits need to end their obsession with debt.
