Britons ‘have seen over £1 billion in anti-social behaviour’
The cost of anti-social behaviour in Britain is £1 billion over the last five years, it has been claimed.
According to Zurich Insurance, over 30 million UK adults has experienced some kind of personal threat, often picking up the bill for it afterwards.
Indeed, it revealed 22 per cent have paid out more than £400 since 2002 to fix problems such as vandalism.
And, in the case of overwhelming cost, it may be that people have had to consider a loan in order to cover the bill.
Martin Hall, head of personal lines underwriting at Zurich Insurance, commented that the figures show the true cost of a big problem.
"This report shows that anti-social behaviour is really taking a toll on us. As well as physical damage to properties and vehicles, there is a financial and emotional cost too," he said.
The Spalding Guardian has reported that anti-social behaviour in the Deepings has gone down 25 per cent after a police clamp down.
